XIV Festival of Choto Stew Contest.
Sorvilán In the village, in La Contraviesa Granada, the second Saturday of May is celebrated as the Feast of Choto Stew Contest. This year it held its XIV edition with nearly 40 contestants. Participate in the stew of kid is open to anyone who wants, may request to advance to the City of Sorvilán. The council provides for 20 euros each participant in a cook-kid and almond wood and the front of the church cook the kid contestants each in their own way (with garlic, cognac, mint, with seafood , with herbs ....). Taking advantage of the coals are prepared bacon, sausage, ribs, sardines ... to whet your appetite while you cook the kid. A jury will be responsible for tasting the various dishes and reward the best recipes.
Later, contestants, residents and visitors Sorvilán free tasted the various dishes and wines of the region (more than 40 family wineries.) Finally, in the evening, no coffee, cups and Trovan.
