Sherman Alexie, "Ten Little Indians"

Sherman Alexie is a storyteller, stories current daily and universal. A storyteller and a creator of characters. His characters are usually Indians, the Spokane Tribe (as the author himself), but it is not difficult to identify, recognize and share their lives, their dreams, their fears, their anger, their failures or their love.
"Ten Little Indians" are nine stories. A college student finds a book of poetry written by an Indian tribe of its own that no one has heard and decided to seek and know Him. A political dinner and a basketball pachanga to discuss racial and resignations. The story of a woman to give a different view of the eleventh of September and daily pain. A couple trying to save her baby from death through the magic and humor. A successful Indian businessman who share conversation (and needs and hopes, and fears) with an Ethiopian taxi driver failed. A young servant between sexual liberation sessions organized by his mother for white women, rich and unsatisfied. A simple love story and happy, however. An Indian alcoholic has 24 hours to raise $ 999 to buy a lender a ceremonial dress that belonged to her dead grandmother. A forest ranger of 40 years after the death of his father, leaves the job and is dedicated to basketball, sports in which he highlighted in his youth, and who left when his mother died, for twenty-two years.
A book of stories, characters, emotions and feelings. A book warm, close, fun, sometimes hard, constitutes, skeptical, beautiful. Be sure to read it. Enjoy it!
